This site is run by the American Turkish Association of Houston (ATA-Houston), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We've kept this policy short because we collect very little. If anything below is unclear, just email us.
When you contact us
If you send a message through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message itself — only to read it and reply. We deliver it to our inbox using Resend, an email service. We don't store it in a database or use it for anything else.
When you subscribe to our newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your email address to send occasional updates through Mailchimp. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and we'll remove you.
Donations, tickets & membership
Donations and event tickets are handled by Zeffy, and memberships by Join It, on their own secure platforms. Your payment details go directly to them — they never pass through or get stored on this site. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Your language preference
When you switch between English and Turkish, we save that choice in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Fonts
Our typefaces are served directly from this site, so loading them involves no third party and shares nothing about you.
What we don't do
We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. We don't profile you, and we never sell or rent your information.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time. To stop newsletter emails, use the unsubscribe link in any issue.
Children
This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles your information, we'll update this page and the date above.
